| Update August 6, 2000 I was pointed out an error about VID from Mr. Alexander Patus and his Father (Slovakia/Europe). I confirmed the error of the connection VID0 and setting of VID. I corrected it. Thanks Alex. |
| Hello, I am hiroji. I modified MB (FIC AZ11) and succeeded in the multiple change of Duron. CPU was not modifying it at all. |
|
![]() Update 7/19 |
| FID and VID Cut the circuit pattern between SocketA and MB. Switch (GND or OFF) is connected to the circuit pattern on the side of MB. BP_FID The circuit pattern of "OVERRIDE" is connecting to BP_FID in FIC AZ11. And, set jumper switch (2.0V or GND) here. |

| Modification of MB is completion. The setting is as AMD's datasheet. Incidentally I confirmed action with the following setting. 600:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(GND,OFF,OFF,GND),(GND,2.0V,2.0V,GND) 650:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(OFF,OFF,OFF,GND),(2.0V,2.0V,2.0V,GND) 700:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(GND,GND,GND,OFF),(GND,GND,GND,2.0V) 750:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(OFF,GND,GND,OFF),(2.0V,GND,GND,2.0V) 800:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(GND,OFF,GND,OFF),(GND,2.0V,GND,2.0V) 850:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(OFF,OFF,GND,OFF),(2.0V,2.0V,GND,2.0V) 900:FID(0,1,2,3),BP_FID(0,1,2,3)=(GND,GND,OFF,OFF),(GND,GND,2.0V,2.0V)
My Duron600 is during a stable action with 900MHZ@1.85V. It did the encoding from AVI to MPEG1 with continuation for 14 hours. |

MB, CPU and SDRAM It is seen 2 switches in the right edge of MB. 4bit switch = FID 8bit switch = VID (5bit use) |

Switch and FID Jumper switch be seen to the back. It is BP_FID (OVERRIDE) Cnnecting point of FID is left side of 4bit switch. And details are the following figure. |
